Bacon Cheeseburger Hawaiian Sliders (Print Format)

Mini burgers with bacon, cheddar, and barbecue sauce, layered on soft Hawaiian rolls for easy crowd-pleasing snacks.

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 pound bacon, cooked and crumbled
02 - 1 pound ground beef, crumbled
03 - 1 teaspoon minced garlic
04 - ½ teaspoon sea salt
05 - 1 teaspoon dried onion flakes
06 - ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
07 - 3 oz. cream cheese, cut into small cubes
08 - ½ cup barbecue sauce
09 - 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
10 - 2 cups grated cheddar cheese
11 - 1-2 packages Hawaiian rolls (approx. 1 ½ packages to fill a 9x13-inch dish)
12 - ½ cup salted butter, melted
13 - 1-2 tablespoons sesame seeds

# Steps:

01 - Preheat the oven to 375°F.
02 - Add ground beef, minced garlic, sea salt, onion flakes, and pepper to a sauté pan and cook over medium heat, breaking up the meat until no longer pink.
03 - Stir cream cheese, barbecue sauce, and Dijon mustard into the cooked meat mixture. Set aside.
04 - Place the rolls in a 9x13 casserole dish. Halve the second set of rolls to fit the dish if needed. Slice the tops off the rolls in one full slice. Place the bottoms of the rolls into the dish and set the tops aside.
05 - Sprinkle 1 cup of cheese over the rolls. Top with the meat mixture. Sprinkle crumbled bacon over the meat mixture, followed by the remaining cheese. Replace the tops of the rolls.
06 - Melt butter in a microwave-safe dish and stir in sesame seeds. Pour the butter mixture over the rolls, spreading evenly with a pastry brush.
07 - Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes until the cheese is melted and the rolls are heated through. Remove the foil and bake for another 5-10 minutes until the tops are browned.

# Tips:

01 - Grated cheese spreads and melts more quickly than slices, ensuring even melting.
02 - Cream cheese and sauce mixed into the beef help the filling stick together and enhance flavor.
03 - Using crumbled bacon allows for easier serving and separation of the sliders.
04 - Browning the butter over the rolls adds flavor and crispness.
