04 - 2 slices Cheddar cheese (3/4 oz each)

06 - 3/4 cup pale ale beer
07 - 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
08 - 1/4 teaspoon chipotle chili powder

→ Cooking Fat

09 - 1 tablespoon butter

# Steps:

01 - In a 12-inch nonstick skillet, cook bacon until crisp; drain on a paper towel.
02 - On 2 slices of bread, place 1 slice of provolone cheese, 3 slices of bacon, and 1 slice of Cheddar cheese on each. Top with the remaining bread slices.
03 - In a shallow bowl, beat the egg, beer, flour, and chili powder with a fork until smooth.
04 - Dip each sandwich into the batter, giving it a few seconds on each side to absorb the batter. Drain any excess batter back into the bowl.
05 - Heat a griddle or skillet over medium-high heat (approximately 190°C/375°F). Melt the butter on the hot griddle. Place the sandwiches on the griddle and cook for 3 to 4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
