Cheesy Sloppy Joe Garlic Toast (Print Format)

Savory beef and tangy sauce piled onto crispy garlic toast, topped with melted cheddar for a satisfying bite.

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 pound ground beef
02 - 1/2 yellow onion, diced
03 - 8 ounces tomato sauce
04 - 1 teaspoon mustard
05 - 1 tablespoon brown sugar
06 - 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
07 - 1 teaspoon onion powder
08 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
09 - 1/4 cup ketchup
10 - 8 frozen garlic toast slices
11 - 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded

# Steps:

01 - In a hot skillet over medium-high heat, add the ground beef and diced onions. Cook until the meat is no longer pink, then drain any excess grease.
02 - Add tomato sauce, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, onion powder, and garlic powder to the skillet. Stir until well combined and bring to a simmer.
03 - Place frozen garlic toast on a large baking sheet.
04 - Top each piece of garlic toast with the sloppy joe mixture, followed by shredded cheddar cheese.
05 - Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 10-15 minutes, or until the toast is warm and the cheese is melted.

# Tips:

01 - If the cheese begins to over-brown during baking, cover the baking sheet with a foil tent and continue baking.
02 - For a quicker version, use store-bought sloppy joe mix. Simply brown the beef, add the mix, and simmer before assembling your garlic toast.
03 - Leftover sloppy joe mixture can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
