Classic Hawaiian grilled chicken in sweet teriyaki marinade with caramelized grilled pineapple. Tropical flavors at their best!

# Ingredients:

→ Perfect Chicken

01 - 4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts

→ Amazing Huli Huli Marinade

02 - 1 cup teriyaki sauce
03 - ½ cup pineapple juice
04 - ¼ cup soy sauce
05 - 2 tablespoons brown sugar
06 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
07 - 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
08 - 1 tablespoon sesame oil

→ Tropical Touch

09 - 1 fresh pineapple, sliced into rings

→ Beautiful Garnishes

10 - Sesame seeds (optional)
11 - Sliced green onions (optional)

# Steps:

01 - In a bowl, whisk together the teriyaki sauce, pineapple juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil until everything's beautifully combined. This marinade is pure Hawaiian magic!
02 - Place your chicken in a resealable bag or shallow dish and pour that gorgeous marinade all over it. Seal it up and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, but overnight is even better for that deep, incredible flavor!
03 - Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Get it nice and hot for those perfect grill marks and that amazing smoky flavor!
04 - Remove the chicken from the marinade (save that liquid for basting!) and grill for 6-7 minutes per side. Baste occasionally with the reserved marinade until the chicken is fully cooked through and looking absolutely gorgeous.
05 - While the chicken is resting, grill those pineapple rings for 2-3 minutes per side until you get beautiful grill marks and they're caramelized to perfection. The smell is incredible!
06 - Arrange your grilled chicken on a serving platter and top with those stunning grilled pineapple rings. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions for that perfect Hawaiian presentation. Aloha!

# Tips:

01 - Huli Huli chicken is a Hawaiian BBQ classic that literally means 'turn turn' - referring to how the chicken is constantly turned while grilling for even cooking and that perfect glaze!
02 - The combination of sweet and savory in this marinade is what makes Hawaiian cuisine so special - pineapple juice, teriyaki, and ginger create that perfect tropical flavor.
03 - Fresh pineapple is definitely worth it here - it caramelizes beautifully on the grill and adds that authentic tropical sweetness that canned just can't match.
