Oven Baked French Bread Pizza (Print Format)

French bread baked with garlic, tangy sauce, cheese, and pepperoni creates a crunchy, quick meal everyone loves.

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 loaf French bread
02 - 2 garlic cloves, minced
03 - ¼ cup salted butter, melted
04 - 1 cup pizza sauce
05 - 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
06 - About 24 pepperoni slices

# Steps:

01 - Preheat oven to 425°F.
02 - Slice the French bread in half lengthwise. If needed, carefully shave a little off the bottom to help it sit flat on the baking sheet.
03 - Stir the melted butter and minced garlic together in a small bowl. Spread it evenly over the cut sides of the bread.
04 - Place the bread halves cut-side up on a baking sheet. Bake for 5 to 10 minutes, just until lightly toasted. This helps keep the bread from getting soggy once the toppings are added.
05 - Take the bread out of the oven and spread a layer of pizza sauce over each half. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese, then add your pepperoni slices or any toppings you like.
06 - Place the pizzas back into the oven and bake for 10 to 14 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the edges of the bread are golden brown.
07 - Allow the pizzas a few minutes to cool before slicing and serving.

# Tips:

01 - To freeze for later, assemble the pizzas without toasting the garlic bread step. Freeze until firm, wrap tightly, and store for up to 2 months. Bake frozen pizzas at 400°F for 20–25 minutes until heated through.
