Preheat your oven to 220°C so it's nice and hot when you're ready to melt all that delicious cheese.

Heat an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat and add your olive oil. Once it's hot and shimmering, add your thinly sliced steak. Season generously with garlic salt and black pepper, stirring to coat every piece evenly. Sauté until the steak is beautifully browned on all sides, then remove and set aside.

Keep about 1 tablespoon of those flavorful cooking juices in the skillet and discard the rest. Add your sliced bell pepper and onion to the same skillet and cook until the vegetables are tender but the bell pepper still has a little bite to it. Remove and set aside with the steak.

Remove the skillet from heat and spread your frozen waffle cut fries evenly across the bottom. Layer on 4 slices of that creamy white American cheese, then add all your cooked steak and sautéed vegetables. Repeat the process and finish with the remaining cheese slices on top for maximum cheesy goodness.

Place your loaded skillet in the preheated oven and bake for 8-10 minutes, until the cheese is completely melted, bubbly, and irresistibly golden on top.

Remove from the oven and let it cool for just a minute or two - you don't want to burn your tongue on that molten cheese! Serve immediately while everything is hot and the cheese is still perfectly gooey.
