01 -
In a large bowl, gently mix the ground beef with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until just combined. Form into 4 equal patties and let them rest while you prep everything else.
02 -
Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat and turn on the broiler. Split the buns and place them cut-side up on a baking sheet, then toast under the broiler until golden. Set the top halves aside for later.
03 -
Grill the seasoned beef patties for 4-5 minutes per side until they're cooked through and have nice grill marks.
04 -
While the burgers cook, warm the pizza sauce in a small pan over low heat. Spread half the sauce on the toasted bottom buns, sprinkle with half the mozzarella, and add half the pepperoni. Broil for 2-3 minutes until the cheese melts.
05 -
Place each cooked burger patty on the prepared bottom buns. Top with the remaining sauce, cheese, and pepperoni, then broil again until the cheese is bubbling and the pepperoni edges are crispy.
06 -
Top with the remaining bun halves and serve immediately while everything is hot and melty.
