Holiday Almond Treats (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 teaspoon almond flavoring.
02 - 1 cup white sugar.
03 - 2 egg whites, large.
04 - 1 cup almond dough, crumbled.
05 - 1/2 cup almond slivers.
06 - 1 cup flour, gluten-free and all-purpose.

# Instructions:

01 - Turn your oven on to 350°F and put parchment paper on your baking tray.
02 - Break up almond paste, toss it into a bowl with the sugar, and stir well.
03 - Stir in the almond extract and egg whites until smooth and combined.
04 - Little by little, mix in the gluten-free flour till you’ve got a sticky dough.
05 - Scoop some dough with a tablespoon, then roll it into a nice ball shape.
06 - Stick some almond slices onto every dough ball.
07 - Pop them in the oven for 15 to 18 minutes, until the edges are nice and golden.
08 - Leave them on the tray for 5 minutes, then transfer to a rack to cool off.
