Bacon Burger Red Onion Jam (Print Format)

Savor juicy bacon-blended patties with sweet onion jam and creamy herbed garlic mayo on toasted buns.

# Ingredients:

→ Burger Patties

01 - 1 1/4 pounds medium to lean ground beef
02 - 8 slices thick cut smoked bacon

→ Roasted Garlic and Herb Mayo

03 - 1/2 cup mayonnaise
04 - 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
05 - 1/2 small head roasted garlic, about 6 cloves
06 - 1 tbsp chopped fresh herbs (e.g. rosemary, chives, oregano)
07 - Pinch of salt and pepper

→ Additional Toppings

08 - 4-6 ounces marble cheddar cheese, sliced
09 - Leaves of crisp lettuce
10 - Sliced tomatoes
11 - 4 toasted burger buns

# Steps:

01 - Cut the bacon slices into a fine dice and cook until most of the fat is rendered and the bacon begins to crisp. Drain off the fat and cool the bacon bits to room temperature. Mix the cooked bacon bits with the ground beef and form into 4 patties about 4 1/2 inches wide. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow the bacon flavor to permeate the meat.
02 - Pulse all the ingredients together in a blender until the roasted garlic is fully incorporated and the mayo is smooth.
03 - Grill the burger patties until fully cooked, about 3-4 minutes per side. Add sliced cheese after flipping the burgers so it melts. Spread red onion jam on the bottom half of the bun, place the burger pattie on top, then add lettuce and tomato. Spread the roasted garlic mayo on the top bun and serve.

# Tips:

01 - Prepare the patties a few hours in advance to enhance the flavor.
