Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Spread the mayonnaise on one side of each piece of bread.

Place the bacon on the skillet and cook to your desired doneness. Once cooked, place the bacon on a plate lined with a paper towel.

Reduce the heat to low and drain off any extra grease. Then place one half of the bread onto the skillet with the mayonnaise side down. Top the bread with 2 slices of cheese, 2 slices of bacon, and then place the other piece of bread on top with the mayonnaise side up.

Heat the sandwich for 2-4 minutes until the bottom piece of bread is golden brown. Flip and cook the other side for 2-4 minutes.

Remove the sandwich to a plate. Let it rest for 2-3 minutes so the cheese is not too hot. Cut in half and serve.
