# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 8 slices Texas toast
02 - 8 slices bacon
03 - 8 slices cheddar cheese
04 - 4 tablespoons mayonnaise

# Steps:

01 - Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
02 - Spread the mayonnaise on one side of each piece of bread.
03 - Place the bacon on the skillet and cook to your desired doneness. Once cooked, place the bacon on a plate lined with a paper towel.
04 - Reduce the heat to low and drain off any extra grease. Then place one half of the bread onto the skillet with the mayonnaise side down. Top the bread with 2 slices of cheese, 2 slices of bacon, and then place the other piece of bread on top with the mayonnaise side up.
05 - Heat the sandwich for 2-4 minutes until the bottom piece of bread is golden brown. Flip and cook the other side for 2-4 minutes.
06 - Remove the sandwich to a plate. Let it rest for 2-3 minutes so the cheese is not too hot. Cut in half and serve.

# Tips:

01 - Store leftovers in the fridge for 3-4 days in an airtight container or plastic bag. For freezing, wrap tightly in plastic wrap or foil and freeze for up to 2-3 months.
02 - Grilled cheese is best served fresh for maximum crispiness and meltiness.
