→ Main Ingredients

01 - 1 12-inch Italian sub loaf, purchased from the deli
02 - 3-4 tablespoons Italian dressing
03 - 1/4 cup sliced pepperoncini peppers
04 - 1/4 cup sliced marinated roasted red peppers
05 - 1/4 pound capicola ham, thinly sliced
06 - 1/4 pound ham, thinly sliced
07 - 1/4 pound salami, thinly sliced
08 - 1/8 pound pepperoni, thinly sliced
09 - 1/4 pound Fontina cheese, thinly sliced
10 - Red pepper flakes, to taste

# Steps:

01 - Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - Cut the 12-inch sub loaf into two 6-inch halves if preferred, then slice it widthwise to butterfly it, keeping it attached at the bottom.
03 - Brush both sides of the butterflied loaf with the Italian dressing.
04 - Evenly distribute the pepperoncini peppers and marinated roasted red peppers over each side of the loaf.
05 - Layer the capicola, ham, salami, pepperoni, and Fontina cheese evenly on both halves of the loaf.
06 - Sprinkle red pepper flakes over the layers to taste. Place the loaded loaf on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10-13 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the ingredients are heated through.
07 - Remove the loaf from the oven, close the halves together, and slice each into portions if desired. Serve immediately.

# Tips:

01 - For a cold sub, simply skip the baking step and serve the sandwich immediately after assembling.
