A baked dish layering ground beef, bacon, cheeses, and BBQ sauce for smoky, rich flavors.

# Ingredients:

→ Meat Layer

01 - 1 lb ground beef
02 - 1 cup diced cooked bacon (about 6 slices)
03 - 1 small onion, finely chopped
04 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
05 - 0.5 cup BBQ sauce
06 - 1 tsp smoked paprika
07 - 0.5 tsp salt
08 - 0.25 tsp black pepper

→ Cheese Mixture

09 - 1 cup ricotta cheese
10 - 1 large egg
11 - 1 tsp Italian seasoning

→ Lasagna Layers

12 - 9 cooked lasagna noodles
13 - 1.5 cups shredded cheddar cheese
14 - 1.5 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
15 - 0.5 cup shredded Parmesan cheese

→ Topping

16 - 0.25 cup BBQ sauce
17 - 2 tbsp diced green onions (optional)

# Steps:

01 - Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish and set aside.
02 - In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown ground beef, breaking into crumbles. Add cooked bacon, onion, and garlic; sauté until onion is soft, about 3-4 minutes. Stir in BBQ sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper; simmer 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat.
03 - Combine ricotta cheese, egg, and Italian seasoning in a small bowl. Mix until smooth and set aside.
04 - Spread a thin layer of meat mixture on bottom of baking dish. Arrange 3 lasagna noodles on top. Spread one-third of ricotta mixture over noodles, then one-third of the meat mixture. Sprinkle with one-third of cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheeses. Repeat layering two more times, finishing with cheese on top.
05 - Cover dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
06 - Remove foil and bake an additional 15-20 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.
07 - Drizzle BBQ sauce over the top and sprinkle with green onions if desired. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

# Tips:

01 - Variations include using smoked Gouda or pepper jack cheese for different flavor profiles; substituting ground beef with ground turkey or chicken for a leaner alternative. Store leftovers refrigerated up to 3 days.
