Mushroom BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger (Print Format)

Smoky, cheesy stuffed peppers filled with beef, bacon, mushrooms, and BBQ sauce for rich flavors.

# Ingredients:

→ Vegetables

01 - 4 large bell peppers (red, yellow, or green)
02 - 60g mushrooms, finely diced
03 - 60g onion, finely diced
04 - 60g gherkins (pickles), finely diced
05 - Fresh parsley, chopped (to garnish)

→ Meat & Dairy

06 - 500g beef mince
07 - 100g cooked streaky bacon, chopped
08 - 100g mature Cheddar, grated

→ Condiments & Seasonings

09 - 120ml BBQ sauce
10 - Salt and black pepper, to taste

# Steps:

01 - Set oven temperature to 190°C (170°C fan). Lightly grease a baking dish.
02 - Cut tops off bell peppers and remove seeds and membranes. Place upright in the prepared baking dish.
03 - Heat a large frying pan over medium heat. Add beef mince and cook thoroughly, breaking it up as it browns.
04 - Add the finely diced mushrooms and onion to the beef. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes until softened.
05 - Stir in BBQ sauce, chopped bacon, and diced gherkins. Season with salt and black pepper according to taste.
06 - Fill each bell pepper with the meat mixture, pressing it down firmly. Sprinkle grated Cheddar evenly on top.
07 - Cover dish loosely with foil. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until peppers are tender and cheese is melted and bubbling.
08 - Remove from oven, sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley, and serve immediately while hot.

01 - For an extra smoky flavor, use smoked streaky bacon and a smoky BBQ sauce variety.
