→ Main Ingredients

01 - 2 16-ounce tubes jumbo butter-flavored biscuits
02 - 1 pound pork sausage or ground pork
03 - 2 15-ounce cans country sausage gravy
04 - 1 teaspoon black pepper
05 - 3 tablespoons melted butter

# Steps:

01 - Preheat oven to 375℉ and grease a 9 x 13-inch casserole dish.
02 - Cut biscuits from one tube into quarters. Arrange them at the bottom of the casserole dish and bake for 12–15 minutes until partially cooked.
03 - Cook and crumble sausage or ground pork in a skillet. Drain and spread over the baked biscuit layer.
04 - In the same skillet, add the cans of sausage gravy. Warm over medium heat, stirring often, and cook until lightly browned for enhanced flavor. Pour the gravy over the sausage in the casserole dish.
05 - Sprinkle freshly ground black pepper over the gravy to taste.
06 - Cut and arrange the remaining biscuits in a single layer on top of the casserole.
07 - Bake uncovered for 10 minutes, then cover with aluminum foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
08 - Melt butter and brush it over the biscuit topping once baking is complete.

# Tips:

01 - Consider seasoning ground pork to your preference—it may be more economical than purchasing premade sausage.
