Breakfast Sliders Bacon Egg (Print Format)

Savory breakfast sandwiches with eggs, bacon, sausage, and cheese on soft Hawaiian rolls.

# Ingredients:

01 - 8 slices bacon, diced
02 - ½ pound breakfast sausage
03 - 12 Hawaiian rolls
04 - 8 eggs
05 - ¼ cup heavy cream or milk
06 - ½ teaspoon salt
07 - 3 tablespoons butter, divided
08 - 6-8 slices American cheese
09 - ½ tablespoon maple syrup
10 - Everything bagel seasoning (optional)

# Steps:

01 - Preheat the oven to 350°F.
02 - Heat a large 12-inch skillet and cook the bacon until crispy. Remove to a plate lined with a paper towel to drain.
03 - Add the breakfast sausage to the skillet and cook until browned and fully cooked. Remove to the plate with the bacon.
04 - In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs and milk until combined. Heat a large skillet on medium-high heat, add 1 tablespoon of butter, and melt. Add the whisked eggs and stir with a spatula until cooked through. Sprinkle with salt and remove from heat.
05 - Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half and place the bottom buns on a baking sheet or dish. Spread the scrambled eggs evenly over the rolls, followed by the sausage and bacon. Place the cheese slices on top of the meat layer, then cover with the top buns.
06 - In a small bowl, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Mix in the maple syrup until combined, then brush the mixture over the top buns. Sprinkle Everything Bagel Seasoning on top (if using).
07 - Bake the sliders for 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted. If the tops begin to brown too much, cover with aluminum foil.

# Tips:

01 - American cheese is preferred, but alternatives like Pepper Jack, cheddar, or Provolone work well.
02 - Slider rolls of any type can be used for this recipe.
03 - To prepare in advance, assemble the sliders the day before baking.
04 - Store sliders in an airtight container for 3-4 days in the refrigerator.
