# Ingredients:

01 - 1 tablespoon butter
02 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
03 - 1/2 small onion, chopped
04 - 3 cloves garlic, minced
05 - 1 cup orzo
06 - 2 cups vegetable broth
07 - 1/2 cup heavy cream, room temperature
08 - 1 1/4 cups cheddar cheese, hand shredded
09 - 3 cups broccoli florets, cut into small pieces
10 - Salt, to taste
11 - Pepper, to taste
12 - 1 tablespoon garlic powder

# Steps:

01 - In a large skillet, heat the butter and olive oil together over medium-high heat. Sauté the chopped onion until softened.
02 - Once the onion is soft, add the minced garlic and sauté for one minute. Add the orzo and continue sautéing for an additional minute, stirring frequently.
03 - Slowly pour in the vegetable broth and heavy cream. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
04 - Turn the heat up to medium-high, and once it begins to gently boil, reduce the heat to low. Cook the orzo for 5 minutes.
