01 -
Coat a square 9×9-inch pan with cooking spray. Then line it with foil or parchment paper, leaving enough overhang to lift the dessert later. Add another spritz of spray for good measure.
02 -
In a big pot on medium heat, melt the butter while stirring. Keep going until it begins to sizzle, foam, and form little golden specks at the bottom. The moment you see those, take it off the heat.
03 -
Toss 8 cups of marshmallows and the salt into the browned butter. Stir gently until it’s gooey and smooth. Then mix in the vanilla for flavor.
04 -
Pour the gooey marshmallow mix over the cereal in a separate large bowl. Combine everything well. While it’s still warm, toss in the remaining 2 cups of marshmallows and mix gently.
05 -
Press half of the cereal mixture into your prepared pan to make a base layer. Spread the dulce de leche on top evenly. Then add the rest of the cereal mixture over it and press it down gently. Let it cool at room temp until it firms up.
