Cajun Chicken Sandwiches (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 medium onion, chopped into small pieces.
02 - 1 celery stalk, chopped finely.
03 - 1/2 green bell pepper, diced small.
04 - 1 pound ground chicken.
05 - 1 tablespoon butter.
06 - 1 tablespoon vegetable oil.
07 - 3 garlic cloves, chopped finely.
08 - 3 tablespoons Cajun-style seasoning.
09 - 1/2 cup heavy cream.
10 - 1/2 cup crushed tomatoes.
11 - 1/2 tablespoon brown sugar.
12 - 1/2-1 teaspoon hot sauce, if you'd like.
13 - 1/4 teaspoon salt or however much you prefer.
14 - 4 soft burger buns.
15 - Sliced cheese (use if you'd like it).
16 - Coleslaw (optional topping).
17 - Sour cream (optional).
18 - Shredded lettuce (optional addition).

# Instructions:

01 - Melt the butter with oil in a skillet over medium heat.
02 - Toss celery, onion, and green pepper into the pan and cook until they're nice and soft. This'll take about 7-8 minutes.
03 - Add in the chicken and break it apart as it cooks for about 5 minutes.
04 - Sprinkle in the garlic and Cajun seasoning, stirring it in.
05 - Let it all cook together for a minute or so.
06 - Stir in the cream, tomatoes, hot sauce, and the sugar.
07 - Combine everything together and reduce the heat to low.
08 - Keep cooking while stirring here and there for around 15 minutes.
09 - Season with salt to your liking.
10 - Pile the filling onto buns and add any extras you like before digging in.
