Easy Cheese Ham Pastry (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 egg mixed with a tablespoon of water for brushing.
02 - 2 sheets of puff pastry.
03 - 1 cup of cheddar cheese, shredded.
04 - ¾ pound of ham, diced.

# Instructions:

01 - Let the pastry sit out until it's no longer frozen.
02 - Turn the oven on and get it up to 400°F.
03 - Lay one piece of pastry onto a greased baking pan.
04 - Spread the ham and cheese evenly onto the pastry, leaving about an inch around the edge clean.
05 - Whisk the egg with water in a small bowl to prepare the wash.
06 - Use the egg wash on the edges of the pastry to help it stick.
07 - Add the second pastry sheet over the top and push the edges together to close it.
08 - Make small cuts on top for airflow, then coat the pastry using more of the egg wash.
09 - Put it in the oven for about 20 minutes or until golden and puffed up.
10 - Let it cool for a few minutes, then slice into 8 servings and enjoy warm.

# Notes:

01 - Swap with gluten-free puff pastry if needed, and make sure the ham is gluten-free too.
02 - Be gentle while handling so the pastry doesn’t tear.
