Cheeseburger Egg Rolls Fried Crispy (Print Format)

Egg rolls filled with beef, cheese, pickles and onion, fried golden brown and served with tangy dipping sauce.

# Ingredients:

→ Cheeseburger Egg Rolls

01 - 17 egg roll wrappers
02 - 1 lb ground beef (80/20 lean-to-fat ratio)
03 - 2 teaspoons salt
04 - ½ teaspoon pepper
05 - ½ medium yellow onion, small diced
06 - ½ cup pickles, diced
07 - 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
08 - Canola or vegetable oil, for frying

→ Egg Wash

09 - 1 egg
10 - 1 tablespoon water

→ Big Mac Sauce

11 - ½ cup mayonnaise
12 - 3 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
13 - 1 tablespoon finely minced yellow onion
14 - 1 tablespoon white vinegar
15 - 2 tablespoons ketchup
16 - 2 teaspoons yellow mustard
17 - ½ teaspoon paprika
18 - ¼ teaspoon onion powder
19 - ¼ teaspoon salt

# Steps:

01 - In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned and no pink remains. Remove from heat and drain excess fat. Add diced onions and sauté for 2 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in shredded cheese, pickles, salt, and pepper until the cheese is slightly melted. Let the mixture cool to room temperature before filling the egg rolls.
02 - Take an egg roll wrapper and dampen the edges with egg wash. Spoon 3-4 tablespoons of the filling onto the lower third of the wrapper. Roll the nearest corner over the filling, tucking gently underneath. Press down the sides to flatten. Fold the right and left corners towards the center, then brush the opposite corner with egg wash and tightly roll up to seal. Repeat with remaining wrappers.
03 - Heat oil in a large skillet to 350°F. Add 5-6 egg rolls at a time and fry for 3-4 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels. Place on a wire rack to prevent soggy bottoms.
04 - Whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, relish, onions, paprika, vinegar, onion powder, and salt until well combined.

# Tips:

01 - The number of servings depends on the amount of filling used for each egg roll. Expect 15-20 servings.
