Cheesy Bacon Ranch Skillet Chicken (Print Format)

Juicy chicken, melted cheese, crispy bacon, and creamy ranch sauce—all in one sizzling skillet, done in just 30 minutes.

# Ingredients:

01 - 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (approximately 1.5 lbs)
02 - 6 slices thick-cut bacon, cooked crispy and crumbled
03 - 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
04 - 1/2 cup ranch dressing
05 - 1/4 cup heavy cream
06 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
07 - 1 teaspoon onion powder
08 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
09 - Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

# Steps:

01 - Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering. Season both sides of the chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Place chicken in the skillet and sear undisturbed for 5-6 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove chicken from the skillet when cooked through.
02 - In the same skillet, pour in ranch dressing and heavy cream. Use a wooden spoon to scrape up any browned bits from the skillet. Stir constantly for about 2 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
03 - Return the chicken to the skillet, spooning the sauce over each piece. Sprinkle crumbled bacon over the chicken and top with shredded cheddar cheese. Cover the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Optionally, broil briefly for extra browning.

# Tips:

01 - Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving to allow juices to redistribute for maximum flavor.
02 - Customize to taste by adding red pepper flakes for heat or mushrooms for additional umami flavor.
