Beef Cheese Bake (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded.
02 - 1/4 cup basil leaves, thinly sliced.
03 - 2 teaspoons parsley, dried.
04 - 1 teaspoon dried thyme.
05 - 1 teaspoon oregano, dried.
06 - 1 clove garlic, finely chopped.
07 - 1/2 cup onions, diced.
08 - Salt and pepper, as needed.
09 - 1 pound of ground beef.
10 - 1 teaspoon olive oil.
11 - 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes.
12 - 1 1/4 pounds tortellini pasta, cooked and drained.

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 375°F and grease a baking pan (9x13 inches).
02 - Warm up a skillet with oil and toss in the beef with some salt and pepper. Stir and cook until browned.
03 - Throw in diced onions and garlic with the beef. Stir until the onion softens and becomes see-through.
04 - Sprinkle thyme, oregano, and parsley into the pan. Cook for another minute or so.
05 - Add the crushed tomatoes and mix everything well. Let it simmer softly for about 10 to 15 minutes.
06 - Mix in the sliced basil, then take the pan off the stove.
07 - In a large bowl, combine the meat sauce with the cooked tortellini. Stir until everything’s covered.
08 - Spread the pasta mix into the greased dish. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly on top.
09 - Slide the dish into the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes until the cheese is golden and bubbling. Cool for a few minutes before serving.
