Cheesy Chicken Parmesan Tortellini (Print Format)

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 large chicken breasts, cut into cubes
02 - Salt, to taste
03 - Pepper, to taste
04 - Garlic powder, to taste

→ Breading mixture

05 - 1/2 cup flour
06 - 1/2 tsp salt
07 - 1/2 tsp pepper
08 - 1/2 tsp paprika
09 - 1/2 tsp garlic powder
10 - 1 tsp Italian seasoning

→ Cooking ingredients

11 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
12 - 2 tablespoons butter

→ Pasta and sauce

13 - 19 oz bag of frozen tortellini
14 - 24 oz jar of pasta sauce (e.g., Rao’s)
15 - 1/4 cup water

→ Cheese and garnish

16 - 3/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
17 - 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese, plus more for topping
18 - Dried parsley, for garnish

# Steps:

01 - Cut chicken into cubes and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
02 - Mix flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and Italian seasoning in a container.
03 - Dredge chicken pieces in the flour mixture until evenly coated.
04 - Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F. Remove chicken from skillet.
05 - Top the cooked chicken with 1 cup of shredded Parmesan cheese. Stir until chicken is well coated.
06 - In the same skillet, turn the heat to medium. Add frozen tortellini, pasta sauce, and 1/4 cup of water. Cover with a lid and cook for 5 minutes or until the tortellini is tender.
07 - Top the tortellini with shredded mozzarella, cooked chicken, additional Parmesan cheese, and dried parsley.
