Sweet Cheesy Mochi (Print Format)

Soft mochi wrapped around creamy strawberry-cheese filling, topped with crushed Oreos for a fun twist.

# Ingredients:

01 - 160g (⅔ cups) milk.
02 - 10g (0.7 tbsp) butter.
03 - 15g (1 tbsp) sugar.
04 - 100g (⅖ cups) cream cheese.
05 - 30g (0.25 cups) corn starch.
06 - 180g (¾ cups) whipping cream.
07 - 100g (⅓ cups) strawberry jam.
08 - Chopped Oreos for garnish.
09 - 100g (0.8 cups) glutinous rice flour.

# Steps:

01 - Beat together cream cheese and sugar until fluffy. Fold in jam and whipping cream. Portion out into 50g batches and freeze solid.
02 - Combine milk, sugar, corn starch, and rice flour. Pass through a fine strainer, then cover and steam till fully cooked.
03 - Work butter into steamed dough until silky. Knead and pull the dough several times for elasticity.
04 - Shape dough into 40g pieces and lightly coat them with rice flour to avoid sticking.
05 - Flatten each dough ball, stuff with frozen filling, and seal tightly by pinching the edges. Remove any extra dough and coat with flour.
06 - Finish off by adding a sprinkle of Oreo crumbles on top.
