Chicken Bacon Pasta Bake (Print Format)

01 - 8 slices bacon, thick and meaty
02 - 1 pound chicken breast, cut into strips
03 - 1½ cups macaroni, uncooked
04 - 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
05 - 1 cup pepper Jack cheese, shredded
06 - ½ cup parmesan cheese, shredded or grated
07 - 4 ounces sour cream
08 - 2 tablespoons butter
09 - ½ cup cream or milk
10 - ¼ teaspoon salt, more to taste
11 - ¼ teaspoon black pepper, more to taste
12 - 2 tablespoons garlic, minced
13 - 2 cups broccoli, cut into bite-sized pieces
14 - 1 tablespoon dry oregano

# Steps:

01 - Cook bacon in an iron skillet. You may need to do this in two batches.
02 - While bacon is cooking, prepare macaroni according to the package directions.
03 - When bacon is done, remove it from the pan and drain all but 2 tablespoons of bacon fat.
04 - Preheat oven to 350°F.
05 - Cook chicken strips, garlic, and oregano in the skillet over low-medium heat for 5 minutes.
06 - Turn the chicken, add broccoli, cover, and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
07 - Drain the cooked macaroni and combine it with butter, half of the cheddar cheese, pepper Jack cheese, all of the parmesan cheese, sour cream, and milk. Stir and melt slightly on low heat for 5 minutes uncovered.
08 - Uncover the chicken and broccoli mixture. Crumble half of the bacon over the top.
09 - Pour the prepared macaroni mixture over the chicken and broccoli mixture in the skillet.
10 - Top the dish with the remaining cheese and bacon.
11 - Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the top is browned and bubbly.
