Chicken Buttered Noodles (Print Format)

Simple comfort food with tender chicken pieces and egg noodles tossed in a delicious garlic butter sauce.

# Ingredients:

→ Main components

01 - 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
02 - 8 oz egg noodles or your favorite pasta
03 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
04 - 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
05 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
06 - Salt and black pepper to taste
07 - 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning

→ Optional finishing touches

08 - ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
09 - Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

# Steps:

01 - Bring a large pot of salted water to boil and cook your egg noodles according to the package directions until they're al dente. Drain them well and set aside.
02 - Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season your chicken pieces generously with salt and pepper, then add them to the hot skillet. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they're golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken and set it aside.
03 - In the same skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add your minced garlic and Italian seasoning, cooking for 1-2 minutes until it smells absolutely amazing.
04 - Add the drained noodles and remaining tablespoon of butter to the skillet. Toss everything together so the noodles get coated in that delicious garlic butter. Add the chicken back in, sprinkle with Parmesan if you're using it, and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve immediately while it's warm and comforting!

# Tips:

01 - This is the perfect base recipe - try adding steamed broccoli, peas, or spinach for extra nutrition and color.
02 - For a bright, zesty twist, squeeze some fresh lemon juice over the dish just before serving.
03 - This comfort food reheats beautifully for leftovers the next day, making it great for meal prep too.
04 - Want it richer? Add ¼ cup of heavy cream when you add the butter for an extra creamy sauce.
05 - Chicken thighs will give you even more flavor and stay more tender than breasts, so use whichever you prefer.
