Chocolate Chip Cookie Cake (Print Format)

Buttery cookie cake loaded with chocolate discs and M&Ms, baked in a round pan for easy slicing.

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, at room temperature
02 - 1 cup brown sugar
03 - 1/2 cup sugar
04 - 2 eggs
05 - 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
06 - 2 cups plus 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
07 - 1 teaspoon baking soda
08 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
09 - 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate discs (or substitute chocolate chips)
10 - 1 1/4 cups M&Ms, divided

# Steps:

01 - Preheat the oven to 375ºF. Line a 14-inch deep round pizza pan with parchment paper and grease the entire pan, including the paper. Set aside.
02 - In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter, brown sugar, and sugar until light and fluffy.
03 - Add the eggs to the creamed mixture and mix until combined. Stir in the vanilla extract and mix well.
04 - Gradually mix in the flour, baking soda, and salt until the dough forms and is fully incorporated.
05 - Stir in the chocolate discs and 1/2 cup of M&Ms, reserving 3/4 cup for the topping.
06 - Evenly spread the prepared dough into the lined pizza pan.
07 - Bake the dough in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from the oven.
08 - While the cake is still warm, use the reserved M&Ms to decorate the top of the cookie cake.
09 - Allow the cookie cake to cool completely in the pan before removing. Slice and serve as desired.
