Warm Chocolate Fudge Cake (Print Format)

Soft chocolate cake that creates gooey fudge beneath. Best enjoyed hot with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

# Ingredients:

→ Batter Mix

01 - 1/2 cup granulated sugar
02 - 1 cup all-purpose flour
03 - 1/2 cup milk
04 - 2 teaspoons baking powder
05 - 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
06 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
07 - 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
08 - 1 large egg yolk
09 - 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
10 - 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips

→ Chocolate Sauce

11 - 1 cup boiling water
12 - 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
13 - 1/2 cup granulated sugar

# Steps:

01 - Turn on the oven to 350°F (175°C). Coat an 8-inch square pan lightly with nonstick spray.
02 - Stir 1/4 cup cocoa powder and 1/2 cup sugar in a small bowl. Put aside for later.
03 - Whisk together the dry ingredients. Mix wet ones in a separate container. Gently combine both. Add chocolate chips last.
04 - Spread the batter evenly in the pan. Sprinkle with the sugar-cocoa blend. Carefully pour hot water on top without mixing.
05 - Bake for 22–24 minutes until the top cracks and bubbles. Let it rest 10 minutes, then enjoy warm.
