Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground meat and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. Drain excess fat if necessary.

Add the diced potatoes directly into the skillet with the browned meat. Stir occasionally and cook until the potatoes are tender (about 15–20 minutes). If needed, add a splash of water and cover the pan to help the potatoes cook faster.

Once the potatoes are tender, stir in the cream soup and milk (or water and sour cream mixture). Mix well and cook for another 5 minutes until everything is heated through and creamy.

Season with salt and pepper to taste. For extra flavor, sprinkle shredded cheese on top and let it melt before serving.
