Throw your beef and diced onion into a pan and cook them together until browned. Drain the fat once done.

Add marinara to the browned beef and stir it all up. Season lightly with salt and pepper. Done!

Spoon the beef mixture into a 2 1/2-quart baking dish first. Spread your cheese mix evenly right on top of the meat layer.

Stretch out the crescent roll sheet and neatly cover the cheese mix, making sure to tuck it to fit perfectly.

Mix parmesan with the warm melted butter and brush it over the top of the crescent rolls to coat them nicely.

Pop it in a 375°F oven for 20-25 minutes. You'll know it's ready when the top turns golden and crispy, and the insides are bubbly.
