Buttery crescent crust filled with seasoned beef and cheese, topped with fresh lettuce and tomatoes.

# Ingredients:

→ Dough

01 - 1 (8 oz) can Pillsbury® refrigerated crescent dinner rolls

→ Filling

02 - 1 lb lean ground beef (at least 80% lean)
03 - 3/4 cup Old El Paso® Thick 'n Chunky salsa
04 - 2 tablespoons Old El Paso® taco seasoning mix (from 1-oz package)
05 - 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

→ Garnish

06 - Shredded lettuce, as desired
07 - Diced tomato, as desired

# Steps:

01 - Preheat oven to 375°F. Unroll the crescent dough, separate into 8 triangles, and press into an ungreased 9-inch square pan or 10-inch pie plate, covering the bottom and sides to form a crust.
02 - In a 10-inch skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef for 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally until fully browned. Drain excess fat.
03 - Stir salsa and taco seasoning mix into the cooked beef. Simmer for 5 minutes to blend flavors.
04 - Spoon the seasoned beef mixture into the crescent roll crust. Evenly sprinkle shredded Cheddar cheese over the top.
05 - Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until the crust is deep golden brown and the cheese is fully melted.
06 - Remove from oven, top with shredded lettuce and diced tomatoes as desired, and serve hot.

# Tips:

01 - Add a 4.5-oz can of chopped green chiles to the meat mixture for extra flavor. Serve with additional salsa, sour cream, and avocado slices for enhanced taste.
