Crispy Air Fryer Apple Fries (Print Format)

Sweet apple sticks coated in spiced crust, air fried until crisp—perfect for a quick snack or light dessert.

# Ingredients:

→ Apple Fries Coating

01 - 2 pieces Granny Smith apples
02 - 1/2 cup All-purpose flour
03 - 1/2 cup Powdered sugar, divided for coating
04 - 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
05 - 1/2 teaspoon Ground nutmeg
06 - 1/2 teaspoon Ground cloves
07 - Cooking oil spray, as needed for air fryer basket

# Steps:

01 - Wash and dry your apples thoroughly. Peel them if you prefer a softer fry, or leave the peel on for added texture and nutrition.
02 - Slice the apples into fry-shaped sticks—about 1/2 inch thick. Aim for uniform size so they cook evenly.
03 - In a shallow bowl, whisk together the flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and half of the powdered sugar.
04 - Lightly toss the apple sticks in the flour mixture, making sure every piece is evenly coated.
05 - Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for about 3 minutes. While it heats, lightly spray your air fryer basket with cooking oil to prevent sticking.
06 - Arrange the coated apple sticks in a single layer in the basket. Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may need to cook them in batches.
07 - Lightly spritz the tops of the apple fries with a bit more cooking spray. This helps achieve a crispier crust.
08 - Air fry for 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking. The fries should be golden and crisp on the outside.
09 - Immediately toss the hot apple fries with the remaining powdered sugar or serve with your favorite dip, like caramel or vanilla yogurt.

# Tips:

01 - For extra crunch, try dipping the apple slices in beaten egg before the dry coating.
02 - Keep a close eye during the last few minutes of cooking; every air fryer cooks a little differently.
