→ Tofu Prep

07 - 3 spoonsful of cooking oil
08 - 11 ounces (300g) of extra-firm tofu
09 - 3 tablespoons of cornstarch for dusting

→ Extras for Presentation

10 - Chopped green onions
11 - A sprinkle of sesame seeds

# Instructions:

01 - Squeeze out excess liquid by pressing the tofu. You can use a tofu press or safely wedge it between clean cloths and set something heavy on top.
02 - Grab a small bowl and combine the soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, and the chili flakes. Then stir in the tablespoon of cornstarch along with 3 tablespoons of water. Mix it until smooth.
03 - Cut the tofu into either cube shapes or triangle pieces. Throw the cornstarch into a small dish and give each piece a thorough coating.
04 - Heat your chosen pan on medium-high and add oil. Lay the tofu in the pan so the pieces aren’t touching. Let each side crisp up to a nice golden brown.
05 - Pour the prepared sauce straight into the pan. It’ll bubble quickly, so toss the tofu pieces around to get every side covered in that sticky deliciousness.
06 - Move your sticky tofu onto a serving plate. Sprinkle on sesame seeds and green onions to finish, if you'd like.

# Notes:

01 - You'll get the best texture if you serve this dish right after cooking while the tofu's still crunchy.
02 - Goes wonderfully with steamed rice or a quick veggie stir-fry.
