Crock Pot Hamburger Potato Casserole (Print Format)

Layers of beef, potatoes, cheese, and creamy soups slow-cooked for a classic, satisfying family meal.

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 tablespoon butter
02 - 1 large yellow onion, sliced
03 - 1.5 lbs lean ground beef
04 - 1.5 lbs russet potatoes, washed and sliced thin
05 - 10.5 oz cream of mushroom soup
06 - 10.5 oz cheddar soup
07 - 1 teaspoon salt
08 - 1 teaspoon pepper
09 - 1 tablespoon onion powder
10 - 1 tablespoon garlic powder
11 - 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

# Steps:

01 - Drop the butter into a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the butter is melted, add the sliced onions to the skillet and cook until translucent.
02 - Add the ground beef to the skillet and crumble it well as it cooks. Cook the ground beef and onions until they are nicely browned.
03 - Spray the inside of the Crock Pot well with cooking spray. Use a slotted spoon to transfer the cooked ground beef and onions to the Crock Pot while leaving the grease behind in the skillet.
04 - Add the sliced potatoes to the Crock Pot. Add the cream of mushroom soup, cheddar soup, salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder to the pot. Stir all of the ingredients together well.
05 - Place the lid on the pot and set it to cook on HIGH. Cook for 5 hours and then sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
06 - Continue cooking for an additional 30 minutes to an hour to allow the cheese to fully melt. Turn off the pot, remove the lid, and allow the casserole to rest for 5 minutes.
07 - Serve the casserole and enjoy!
