Deep Fried Oreos Fair Style (Print Format)

Oreos dipped in batter and fried until crisp, featuring a warm, gooey center and sweet powdered sugar dusting.

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 quart vegetable oil
02 - 1 package Mega Stuf Oreos (family size, about 28 cookies)
03 - 1½ cups Bisquick
04 - 1 large egg, beaten
05 - 1 cup whole milk
06 - ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
07 - Powdered sugar for dusting

# Steps:

01 - Heat the oil in a large Dutch oven to 350 degrees. Test the temperature to ensure it does not overheat; otherwise, the Oreos will burn.
02 - In a medium bowl, whisk together the beaten egg, vanilla extract, and whole milk. Add the Bisquick and whisk until no lumps remain.
03 - Set an Oreo on a large spoon, dip it into the batter, and ensure all sides are evenly coated. Scoop it back up with an additional spoonful of batter on top.
04 - Slowly lower the spoon with the coated Oreo into the hot oil, ensuring the Oreo ends up on the bottom and the extra batter remains on top. Fry 2 to 3 Oreos at a time for 30 to 60 seconds or until golden brown. Monitor the oil temperature between batches.
05 - Move the fried Oreos to a paper-lined plate, dust with powdered sugar, and serve immediately while the creme filling is still warm.

# Tips:

01 - Maintain the oil temperature throughout the cooking process to avoid overcooking or burning the Oreos.
