Deep Fried Strawberry Cheesecake (Print Format)

Crispy wonton bites stuffed with creamy strawberry cheesecake and lightly dusted with powdered sugar.

# Ingredients:

→ Filling

01 - 8 oz cream cheese, softened
02 - 1/4 cup granulated sugar
03 - 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
04 - 1/2 cup diced fresh strawberries
05 - 1 tbsp strawberry jam or preserves (optional)

→ Assembly

06 - 24 wonton wrappers
07 - Small bowl of water for sealing edges
08 - Vegetable oil for frying
09 - Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

# Steps:

01 - In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth. Gently fold in diced strawberries and strawberry jam if using.
02 - Place a wonton wrapper on a clean surface in a diamond shape. Spoon 1 to 1½ teaspoons of cheesecake filling into the center. Moisten all edges with water, then fold into a triangle, pressing edges to seal tightly and remove air pockets. Optionally, bring side corners together and pinch to form a purse shape.
03 - Heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil in a deep skillet or pot to 350°F (175°C).
04 - Carefully drop a few wontons into hot oil. Fry for 2–3 minutes until golden brown and crispy, turning halfway through. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
05 - Dust wontons with powdered sugar while still warm. Serve optionally with strawberry sauce or chocolate for dipping.
