Dorito Chicken Creamy Casserole (Print Format)

Layers of chicken, Doritos, creamy sauce, and cheese make this tasty casserole a crowd-pleaser.

# Ingredients:

01 - 4 cups crushed Nacho Cheese Doritos or more as needed
02 - 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
03 - 1/2 cup sour cream
04 - 3 cups cooked chicken, diced
05 - 1 tablespoon taco seasoning
06 - 1 can (15 oz) corn, drained (Southwest or regular)
07 - 1 can (10 oz) ROTEL (diced tomatoes with green chilies)
08 - 3 cups shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese, divided

# Steps:

01 - Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
02 - In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup and sour cream.
03 - Add the diced cooked chicken, taco seasoning, drained corn, and ROTEL to the sauce mixture. Stir until well combined.
04 - Spray a 9x13-inch baking dish or casserole dish with cooking spray. Layer enough crushed Doritos to cover the bottom of the dish.
05 - Spread half of the chicken mixture over the Doritos. Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheese over the chicken mixture.
06 - Repeat the layers by adding the remaining chicken mixture over the cheese. Top with the remaining shredded cheese and finish with a final layer of crushed Doritos.
07 - Bake for 30 to 40 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the cheese is melted. If the top starts to brown too quickly, cover the dish with aluminum foil.
08 - Add additional shredded cheese on top before serving, if desired.

# Tips:

01 - You can use any flavor of Doritos if Nacho Cheese is unavailable.
02 - If sour cream is not available, substitute with another can of your favorite cream soup.
03 - Avoid crushing the Doritos too finely to prevent them from becoming mushy when baked.
04 - Cover the dish with foil if the top browns too quickly during baking.
