03 - 2 cups granulated sugar, divided
04 - 1 tablespoon baking powder
05 - ⅛ teaspoon salt
06 - 1 cup milk
07 - 4 cups fresh peach slices

10 - Ice cream or whipped cream for serving (optional)

# Steps:

01 - Preheat oven to 375°F.

04 - In a separate large mixing bowl, combine the remaining 1 cup of sugar with the peach slices and lemon juice. Mix well. Pour the peach mixture over the batter in the baking dish. Do NOT stir. If desired, sprinkle with cinnamon.
05 - Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the cobbler is golden brown.
06 - Serve warm or at room temperature. Optionally, top with ice cream or whipped cream.

# Tips:

01 - The batter will bubble up over the fruit as it cooks, often referred to as a 'bubble up.'
02 - You can use any fruit you like for this cobbler.
