# Steps:

- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the breakfast sausage in a large pan on medium-high heat for 4-5 minutes or until browned well, breaking it apart as you cook it. Remove and drain the fat.
- Add one tablespoon of butter to the pan on medium heat. Whisk 10 eggs with 1/4 cup of milk, salt, and pepper, then add the mixture to your pan. Scramble the eggs until just set.
- In a 9x13-inch pan, line the first 6 slices of Texas toast and top each slice with a piece of American cheese.
- Add the cooked sausage and scrambled eggs on top of the bread layer, and then top with another layer of American cheese.
- Mix the remaining 8 eggs, 3/4 cup of milk, and ground mustard in a medium bowl. Pour the mixture gently over the layered ingredients in the 9x13-inch pan.
- Top with the remaining slices of Texas toast.
- Melt the remaining 3 tablespoons of butter and brush it onto the tops of the bread.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 20 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 20 minutes.
