Ground Beef Potato Bake (Print Format)

Layers of spiced beef, thin potato slices, and cheesy goodness baked to golden perfection. A quick dinner that’s family-friendly and low-cost.

# Ingredients:

→ Casserole Base

01 - 4–5 medium potatoes, sliced super thin
02 - 1 pound ground beef
03 - 1 medium onion, finely chopped
04 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
05 - ½ cup beef broth
06 - 2 garlic cloves, minced
07 - ¼ cup milk (optional)

→ Seasonings and Cheeses

08 - Salt and black pepper, as needed
09 - ½ cup Parmesan, grated
10 - 1 teaspoon Italian blend seasoning
11 - ½ teaspoon paprika powder
12 - 1 ½ cups cheddar cheese, shredded
13 - Fresh parsley for topping

# Steps:

01 - Turn on your oven and set it to 375°F (190°C). Slice the potatoes so they're around ¼-inch thick.
02 - Warm up olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Toss in onions and garlic, cooking until they smell amazing. Add the beef, sprinkle on seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper, then cook it until no pink is left.
03 - Coat your baking dish lightly. Lay down half the potatoes, top with half the beef, and sprinkle on half of the cheddar. Do the same layers again, then drizzle the broth (plus milk if you want) over everything.
04 - Cover the dish tightly with foil and pop it in the oven for 35–40 minutes. Take off the foil, add Parmesan cheese on top, and bake for 10 more minutes without covering it until it turns golden.
05 - Let it sit for a good 5 minutes. Sprinkle parsley on top, grab a plate, and dive into that cheesy goodness!

# Tips:

01 - Pour in more cheese or heavy cream for a creamier texture.
02 - Keep potato slices thin so they'll cook evenly.
03 - Add some spice with a dash of red chili flakes.
