In a large mixing bowl, add both gravy packets and water, then whisk until well combined and no clumps remain. Set aside.

In another large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, finely diced onions, onion powder, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper to taste. Fold the mixture together until evenly blended.

Shape the seasoned meat into approximately 5 evenly sized patties.

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil, sliced onions, and mushrooms. Cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until softened. Push onions and mushrooms to one side of the skillet.

Place the patties into the skillet and sear for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

Drain excess grease from the skillet if necessary. Return skillet to medium heat and add the prepared gravy mixture. Stir continuously until it thickens to the desired consistency.

Serve the patties smothered in gravy over mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles.
