Turn on your oven and set it to 350°F (175°C) to preheat.

Warm up some butter or oil in a pan. Cook the onions with the ground beef until the meat's fully browned, then drain the extra grease.

Stir together the mushroom soup, Worcestershire sauce, milk, and a little bit of salt and pepper in a mixing bowl.

Grease a baking dish. Add a layer of thin potato slices, pour over the beef mixture, and sprinkle half the shredded cheese on top. Repeat everything to make another layer.

Evenly pour your soup mixture all over what you just layered.

Wrap the dish with foil and pop it into the oven for 45 minutes.

Pull off the foil and let it bake another 15 minutes. The potatoes should be soft and the cheese all melty.
