Shredded chicken and pillowy dumplings in creamy broth—a comforting, flavorful, one-pot classic for family dinners.

# Ingredients:

→ Chicken and Broth Mixture

01 - 2 large chicken breasts, cooked and shredded (about 4 cups)
02 - 8 cups water
03 - 4 tablespoons Better Than Bouillon Chicken
04 - 4 tablespoons salted butter
05 - 4 carrots, halved lengthwise then diced (about 3 cups)
06 - 4 celery stalks, diced (about 2 cups)
07 - 2 small yellow onions, finely diced (about 2 cups)
08 - 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
09 - 1 teaspoon Italian seasonings
10 - 1 teaspoon salt
11 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
12 - 1 teaspoon onion powder

→ Dumplings Mixture

13 - 2 cups Bisquick baking mix
14 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
15 - 2/3 cup milk

# Steps:

01 - In a large bowl, combine water and Better Than Bouillon to make chicken broth. Place in the microwave for 3 minutes. Remove and stir well. Set aside.
02 - In a large stock pot over medium heat, add carrots, celery, onions, and butter. Stir well and cook for 10 minutes, stirring often to avoid burning the onions.
03 - Add the flour to the vegetable mixture and stir to combine. Slowly add the chicken broth while stirring and bring to a boil.
04 - Add the shredded chicken, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt. Stir well. Reduce to low heat and let simmer while preparing the dumplings mixture.
05 - In a mixing bowl, combine Bisquick baking mix and garlic powder. Gradually add milk and gently stir until a thick paste-like batter forms. Let the batter rest for 1-2 minutes.
06 - Using a small cookie scoop (2 teaspoons), gently drop dumpling batter into the simmering chicken mixture. Leave space between each dumpling as they expand during cooking. Cover the pot and simmer on low heat for 15 minutes.
07 - Carefully turn over each dumpling in the pot, ensuring they do not break apart. Cook uncovered for an additional 2-3 minutes.
08 - Remove the pot from heat and serve the chicken and dumplings hot.

# Tips:

01 - Cover the pot while cooking dumplings to ensure they become soft and fluffy.
02 - Avoid overmixing the dumpling batter to maintain light, tender texture.
03 - Thicken the broth by gradually adding small amounts of flour to reach desired consistency.
