Homemade Ginger Ale (Print Format)

A lively fizzy drink with fresh ginger, lemon, and just the right sweetness for a crisp, refreshing taste.

# Ingredients:

→ Syrup

01 - 1 cup fresh ginger, peeled and sliced
02 - 1 cup water
03 - ¾ cup sugar

→ Drink Assembly

04 - 2 cups sparkling water (club soda)
05 - 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
06 - Ice cubes
07 - Lemon slices for garnish

# Steps:

01 - Combine fresh ginger slices, water, and sugar in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer gently for 10 minutes to infuse flavor and dissolve sugar.
02 - Remove from heat and allow the syrup to cool to room temperature. Strain out the ginger pieces to achieve a smooth syrup free from pulp.
03 - Fill serving glasses generously with ice cubes to ensure the drink remains cold and refreshing.
04 - Pour 2 to 3 tablespoons of the cooled ginger syrup into each glass, adjusting sweetness and intensity to taste.
05 - Add sparkling water over the syrup in each glass, then finish with a splash of fresh lemon juice to balance sweetness with brightness.
06 - Gently stir to combine flavors without flattening the bubbles. Garnish with a lemon slice on the rim and serve immediately with a straw.

# Tips:

01 - Store ginger syrup refrigerated in a sealed container for up to two weeks.
02 - Adjust simmering time for a more intense ginger flavor.
03 - Adding fresh mint leaves at assembly imparts a refreshing herbal note.
