Sweet and savory honey garlic salmon served with perfectly roasted broccoli for a balanced dinner.

# Ingredients:

→ Protein

01 - 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each), fresh or thawed, skin-on or skinless

→ Vegetables

02 - 4 cups broccoli florets (about 10.5 oz), fresh or frozen, chopped

→ Glaze

03 - 1/4 cup honey (3 tbsp)
04 - 3 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
05 - 4 cloves garlic, minced (about 2 tbsp)
06 - 2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
07 - 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
08 - 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

→ Seasoning

09 - Salt, to taste
10 - Black pepper, to taste

# Steps:

01 - Preheat oven to 400°F. Toss broccoli florets with 1 tablespoon olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Spread on one side of a rimmed baking sheet.
02 - Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels and place skin-side down on the other side of the baking sheet.
03 - Whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, lemon juice, remaining 1 tablespoon olive oil, and red pepper flakes in a small bowl.
04 - Brush glaze generously over salmon fillets, allowing some to drip onto the broccoli for added flavor.
05 - Roast in the oven for 12-15 minutes until salmon flakes easily and broccoli is tender with crispy edges. Halfway through cooking, flip salmon skin-side up and baste again with remaining glaze.
06 - Remove from oven and drizzle any leftover glaze or fresh lemon juice over salmon and broccoli before serving.

# Tips:

01 - Pat salmon dry before glazing to enhance glaze adhesion and caramelization.
02 - Use fresh minced garlic for optimal flavor in the glaze.
03 - Monitor the glaze near the end to prevent burning; reduce oven temperature if necessary.
04 - Flip salmon halfway through roasting to build a sticky, caramelized coating on both sides.
05 - Substitute broccoli with asparagus, green beans, or Brussels sprouts as desired.
06 - Maple syrup can be used instead of honey for a different sweetness profile.
07 - Store leftovers in an airtight container refrigerated up to 2 days. Reheat gently to retain moisture.
