Hot Ham and Cheese Sandwiches (Print Format)

Crescent dough sandwiches with ham, cheese, and Dijon, baked golden and perfect for sharing.

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 cans Pilsbury crescent dough
02 - 12 pieces deli ham
03 - 8 slices Pepper Jack Cheese
04 - 1-2 tbsp Dijon Mustard
05 - 3-4 tbsp butter, melted
06 - 1 tsp dried parsley
07 - 1/2 tsp minced or dried garlic

# Steps:

01 - Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Remove crescent dough from the tube and roll out. Press seams together to form one large piece of dough.
02 - Line or grease a 7 x 11-inch baking dish with parchment paper or nonstick spray. Lay the dough in the baking dish and bake according to package instructions. Remove from oven when done.
03 - Spread Dijon mustard evenly over the baked croissant base. Layer 4 slices of cheese (or enough to cover the entire surface) on top.
04 - Fold each slice of ham in half and layer evenly over the cheese. Add the remaining cheese slices on top of the ham.
05 - Remove the second batch of dough from the tube, press the seams together, and place it over the top layer of cheese.
06 - In a small bowl, melt butter and mix in dried parsley and minced garlic. Brush the mixture evenly over the top dough layer.
07 - Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes or until the top dough is golden brown and cheese is melted. Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving as the cheese will be very hot.

# Tips:

01 - Allowing the sandwiches to rest helps prevent burns and allows the cheese to firm slightly, making slicing easier.
