Blend the butter, cream cheese, and sugar until it looks whipped. Stir in the vanilla.

Add the salt and flour until you’ve got a soft dough.

Divide the dough in two, flatten into disks, wrap them, and cool for half an hour.

Turn each chilled disk into a 12x10-inch rectangle, spread jam across the surface but leave the edges plain.

Shape the dough into logs, wrap them up, and cool for another 15-20 minutes.
