One Pot Chili Mac Cheese (Print Format)

Hearty chili mac with ground beef, pasta and cheddar cheese. Crowd-pleasing, easy, and ready in under 30 minutes.

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 pound ground beef
02 - ½ cup yellow onion, diced
03 - 2 ½ cups beef broth
04 - 8 ounces elbow pasta
05 - 1 packet chili seasoning
06 - 15 ounces petite diced tomatoes, drained
07 - 15 ounces chili beans (chili starter)
08 - 15 ounces tomato sauce
09 - 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded

# Steps:

01 - In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef and onions until the beef is browned and cooked through. Drain any extra grease.
02 - Add the chili beans, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, chili seasoning, beef broth, and elbow pasta. Stir well, bring to a simmer, and cook for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is al dente.
03 - Turn off the heat and mix in the shredded cheese until melted. Serve and enjoy!

# Tips:

01 - Any chili bean will work, but a chili starter, such as Bush's Chili Magic, is recommended for added flavor and heat customization.
02 - Any type of pasta can be used if elbow pasta is unavailable.
03 - Monitor the pasta while cooking. Add an additional ½ cup of beef broth if the mixture becomes too dry.
