Prepare brownie batter according to package directions. Pour evenly into greased dish and bake for 20 minutes to set the base.

In a medium bowl, whisk granulated sugar, corn syrup, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla until smooth. Fold in pecans to coat evenly.

Remove partially baked brownies from oven. Pour pecan mixture evenly over brownie layer. Return to oven and bake 25–35 minutes until topping is set but slightly jiggly in center.
