Set your oven to 375°F. Use nonstick spray to coat a 9x13-inch baking dish.
02 -
Take a large bowl and mix together the ground beef or turkey, onion, garlic, bread crumbs, Worcestershire, egg, cottage cheese, and BBQ sauce.
03 -
Spread the meat mixture evenly in the coated baking dish. Bake it for 30 minutes in the heated oven.
04 -
While the meatloaf cooks, add diced potatoes to a pot of water and boil them on medium heat until soft.
05 -
After draining the boiled potatoes, toss in the butter. Use a hand mixer for smoothness, then add sour cream, warm milk or half-and-half, salt, and pepper. Blend till creamy.
06 -
After 30 minutes of cooking, take the meatloaf out and drain off any leftover grease carefully.
07 -
Spoon the mashed potatoes evenly over the meatloaf. Add shredded cheddar and crumbled bacon on top.
08 -
Put the layered casserole back into the oven for another 15 minutes. Heat it till the cheese melts and the potatoes are hot all the way through.
09 -
Take the finished casserole out and let it sit for a few minutes before digging in.
